It seems that Apple has taken action and is responding to the brutal complaint from FCP users. It has just released a new version (10.0.1) that incorporates some basic adjustments (XML export and import, changing the TC of the sequences) and some new ones, always in the valuable field of metadata control (export of clips based on tags).
Apple even proposes the completion of FCPX projects in DaVinci Resolve using XML, making it clear why they discontinued Apple Color.
Support for Xsan and the development of an Avid AMA-like tool for importing camera footage are other new features. Apple has announced that multi-camera support, among other features, will be available in early 2012.
You can see all the new features and download a 30-day trial here. The upgrade is free for current FCPX users.
