Tutorial: How to switch from Avid to Scratch – Back and forth

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sometimes taking our videos from one software to another, if we don’t know the necessary steps, can be a bit complicated.

In this tutorial you will see how to take an edit, made in Avid Media Composer 6.5, to the Assimilate Scratch system to make a color correction. After exporting an AAF and the conform process, we will be able to have our edit in Scratch to make the appropriate color adjustments. The clips are then rendered and returned to the original sequence created in Avid, replacing the “off-color” shots with the final ones.
