Universe 2.1, by Red Giant

Red Giant has just released the new version of its Universe collection of effects and transitions.

This update comes with 6 new text tools and adds functions for Line and Holomatrix II effects.

The new tools are:

• AV Club: Imitates the noisy look of videotapes and old commercials or programs.

• Luster: To give the text a retro 80’s look, with a metallic sheen and refraction to simulate a glassy 3D look.

• Title Motion: Adds dynamic animations to text and figures to take them on and off the screen.

• Ecto: An effect inspired by the Ghostbusters and Stranger Things productions to generate disturbing titles.

• Long Shadow: Allows you to apply a long, colored shadow to a text, logo or figure.

• Glo Fi II: Adds glow effects to titles, with smoothing and auto-animation.

As for the two enhanced effects, Line adds the ability to include text at the beginning and end of a line; and Holomatrix II now includes a new strobe effect and blurred chromatic distortions.
