The update for V-Ray 5 for Cinema 4D is now available. V-Ray is known in the post-production industry as one of the standards for photorealistic 3D rendering. Chaos group releases this new update with all the intelligent tools and advanced rendering functions for Cinema 4D.
The new version of V-Ray comes to Cinema 4D blending speed and creative control for those who design and create content in Cinema 4D. It debuts a more intuitive interface than the previous one and adds new tools with intelligent workflows. It is now faster and easier to use as well as multifunctional, as you can make compositions and mix interactive lights.
Through the V-Ray Frame Buffer, you can create interactive compositions such as a mix of lighting. You only need to start from a render to obtain various lighting scenarios by changing parameters such as color or light intensity with the great advantage of not having to re-render with each version made. Another tool added to this new update is the layer-based compositor design to play and combine different rendering passes or have access to the well-known blending modes in layer combinations. All without leaving the application.
If something characterizes V-Ray, it’s the rendering speed, being able to use the GPU, CPU or in combination with both. According to the manufacturers, when rendering with V-Ray GPU, a speed power superior to that achieved through an NVIDIA RTX is obtained. It also allows you to see changes on the fly without having to wait for the render to finish, which saves time when making artistic decisions. There is also the option of Out-of-core GPU rendering for cases where scenes are larger than the GPU memory, in which case you can render outside the core to speed up and offload the work.
V-Ray 5 is now available on Windows and macOS operating systems, and as the company usually does, it offers a free trial period. They offer various licenses of annual type for $470 or monthly for $80. The compatible versions of Cinema 4D with V-Ray 5 are R20-R23.
