Blackmagic Design has updated its Video Assist to version 2.3.
Most notably, up to six 3D LUTs can now be stored and loaded at any time on both the 5″ and 7″ (4K) Video Assits. The other new features mainly benefit users of the smaller model, as they add functions that already exist on the 7″ model:
- Integration with the Avid Media Composer editing system has been significantly improved, thanks to the ability to record the DNxHD and DNxHR codecs in MXF format, with a choice of 220, 145 and 45 (for HD), or HQ, SQ and LB (for HR).
- False color monitoring.
- Expanded focus options, with the possibility of viewing the indicators in red, green, blue, white, black or traditional focus peaking.
- Screen rotation functions, being able to deactivate the automatic rotation.
