On June 29th, Blackmagic Design announced that a new update for its Blackmagic Video Assist 4k would be made available free of charge to Blackmagic Design customers.
The most notable feature of this 2.5 version is that it now allows the Blackmagic Video Assist 4K monitor the signal via histogram, vectorscope, waveform, as well as chroma components.
As was already shown at the last NAB show, the NABThese monitors are ideal for live image quality monitoring, color balancing and broadcast testing, among other things. Thanks to the possibility of viewing them in full screen, which facilitates a more accurate evaluation of the video signals passing through the Blackmagic Video Assist 4K.
