We update the codec table

Surely if you are regular readers of 709 Media Room you have already heard about our video codec table, developed by Luis Ochoa, which includes the formats and codecs used professionally, with resolutions ranging from SD to 4K (or even higher).

In this table you will find all the information you need to get up to date with those codecs you are not familiar with. You will see the name of the manufacturer of each one of them, examples of cameras with links to their web pages, compression type, sampling, data rate, etc. In addition, in the last column you have a link to the source from which the information has been extracted, which will help you if what you need is a more extensive knowledge of the codec.

As always, you can find this table in our“Downloads” section, along with a lot of files from different cameras to download or a variety of creative LUTs.
