Digital Vision has announced the new products to be presented at the highly anticipated NAB 2013, among which we will find improvements to Nucoda, its line of color correction and finishing products.
Nucoda
The main enhancements to Nucoda Look, Fuse and Film Master concern the expanded and improved ACES workflow and the integration with Cortex Dailies from MTI Film. Complex metadata such as CDLs, LUTs or camera raw settings can now be shared between Nucoda and Cortex.
The DVO(Digital Vision Optics) “Stereo” repair tool has also been updated and the two new “Warp” and “De-Warp” tools for correcting camera lens distortions have been added. Digital Vision will present DVO De-Warp at NAB, demonstrating its fully automatic repair capabilities.
Here you can check the specifications of the three systems in this line; although they are mainly in that Look is intended for on-set pre-color correction, Fuse contains full color correction and finishing tools and Film Master combines these same tools along with a very tight integration with the Avid workflow, including support for Interplay.
Phoenix
The latest version of this restoration software, which continues to grow in capabilities and reputation, will be presented. This update includes new tools to correct chromatic aberration, Y/X alignment problems and the new “Colour Component Align”.
In this page you have all the features about the system.
Thor
Taking advantage of its 25th anniversary, Digital Vision will demonstrate its new product. Thor is a dedicated advanced image processing hardware that will be released soon.
Designed to be platform independent, it will be able to achieve excellent quality in automatic restoration and process at high speeds while using DVO tools.
Initially, up to four HD video streams or one 4K stream can be processed, all in real time. Thor can be deployed as multiple cards in a single system, so it will be possible to switch between algorithms on the fly.
Digital Vision will also present the Golden Eye scanner, which is part of its Vintage Cloud archiving solution.
And if you are interested in color correction I recommend you to take a look at the upcoming courses“Color Correction“,“DaVinci Resolve“,“Advanced DaVinci Resolve“,“Color Correction in SGO Mistika” or“DIT Course“.
