XTRMX integrates with Avid MediaCentral

XTRMX announces the signing of an Alliance Sales Agreement with Avid. Therefore XTRMX integrates its next generation product group with Avid Media Central and Avid Media Composer. These products include a multi-user xView video review and ediX remote editing. Both will be certified by Avid and available on its Marketplace in more than 140 countries.

This new workflow facilitates multi-user access and native control of media assets through the workflow. Multiple users can simultaneously review and edit content in the same editing session. The new way of working saves time going back and forth between multiple versions of files. XTRMX provides the opportunity to work from anywhere, anytime, and even multiple platforms, from Microsoft to Apple OS X, including laptops, desktops or tablets. More comprehensive tools and workflow solutions are offered that make it possible to create, distribute and optimize the exercise. The entire process will be simplified and shorten the creation and production pipeline.

The system created by XTRMX takes advantage of the power of the workstations involved in the same session, so that it is not just reduced to a shared screen. As a result, we obtain higher image quality, responsiveness and ergonomics of the platform, making the software appear to be installed on each of the users’ workstations. It is a collaborative work of different remote users.

How it works

The XTRMX framework system is based on an on-the-fly transcoding and processing engine. It delivers the content on demand by streaming without actually uploading or downloading the source itself. It is a secure and extremely low latency protocol (less than 40 milliseconds latency). Thus each user is able to be synchronized with other team members in the same session. The changes applied by them will be automatically reflected in the rest of the users belonging to the particular workflow.
