Zenmuse X7

Leading drone manufacturer and distributor DJI has announced the new Zenmuse X7, a new drone camera with a Super-35 sensor with 6K resolution.

Among its features, this new camera has 14 stops of dynamic range. In addition, it uses DL mount, allowing interchangeability between F2.8 lenses. The 16mm, which has an ND4 neutral density filter, and the 24mm, 35mm and 50mm have their own built-in mechanical shutter.

On the other hand, this device employs the DJI Cinema Color System, with D-Log color curve and D-Gamut RGB color space.

In the words of Paul Pan, DJI Senior Product Manager, “The Zenmuse X7 offers any type of professional content that creators may need to make their footage as stunning and vivid as they need it to be .

Regarding its recording properties, it allows recording at 6K CinemaDNG raw, or at 5.2K in Appe ProRes at 30 fps; and on the other hand, in Cinema DNG raw or at 2.7K in Apple ProRes at 59.94fps. Cinema DNG raw or 2.7K in Apple ProRes at 59.94fps.

As for its weight, it is a lightweight device, weighing only 631 grams approximately, designed to facilitate flight, being able to stay in the air for up to 23 minutes.

The body of the new Zenmuse X7 is expected to be made available starting next November, through DJI’s official website, for a price of $2,699. The 16mm, 24mm and 35mm lenses will be available for $1,299 each, while the 50mm will be $1,199, although a savings package with all four lenses included will be offered for $4,299.
