Zhiyun Weebill-S, the most compact stabilizer for mirrorless cameras

Zhiyun introduces the new model of stabilizer Weebill S designed for the latest mirrorless DSLR cameras that have been appearing on the market.

Weebill S aims to be the most compact stabilizer capable of supporting any SLR camera with lens included, and this time the audience is not video bloggers, but professional users of the audiovisual world.

Superior to its previous model with 300% more torque and a response rate twice as fast. In addition to the increased speed and reduced size (like an A4 paper), new algorithms help to eliminate instability in those faster movements. As we are accustomed to, Zhiyun has a dial on the handle from which we can manage the movements in all axes.

Weebill S includes new ways to remotely manage and monitor images through the TransMount transmission module. This system allows 1080p images to be transmitted at 30 frames per second from a distance of up to 100 meters. The cell phone thus becomes a remote control and a field monitor through which the image can be displayed in frame. The Sync Motion system allowscontrol of the Zhiyun’smotion sensor, which can also be controlled from a cell phone with the ZY Play app. Focus tracking can be done by selecting a person or object for the camera to follow with the new SmartFollow 2.0.

The new model maintains its focus on making it easy for the user to balance the device with the quick-release shoe. An extendable bar has also been included to make it easier to level the counterweight as weight is added to the camera body and the new ViaTouch 2.0 software is able to automatically recognize the weight of the camera to adapt the motor power to it. The ergonomic harness mode is intended to simplify the change of shot between high and low angle to offer “unlimited possibilities”.

The brand estimates a 14-hour battery life as well as charging the camera at the same time.

The Weebill S is available in 3 different models, costing 399 eurosfor the simplest model, 499 euros with the Zoom/Focus Pro accessories and 500 euros with the Image Transmission Pro Package.
