PhotoPresenter by Boinx Software for iOS

PhotoPresenter for iOS is presented as an application for display and storytelling style and non-linear photo slideshows created by Boinx Software. It is updated with NDI® playback to enable easy integration into live video production workflows based on mimoLive for Mac or other NDI®1 capable video production systems such as the NewTek TriCaster.

An example of using PhotoPresenter

“We had a specific customer in mind. In their marine aquarium, they are helping visitors learn about marine life by telling them about specific animals that can be seen in the fish tank. The fish don’t follow a script, so the presenter has to choose the right image from their photo library on the spot to display it on the presentation screen. With PhotoPresenter, they can highlight parts of the photo to explain anatomy, for example, and with NDI®, in addition to presenting on the big screen, they can also send the video output to the live video stream, reaching a large audience beyond on-site visitors.”

Oliver Breidenbach, CEO of Boinx Software.

PhotoPresenter is designed for ad-hoc photo slideshows, where the audience does not see the entire photo library, only the ones you want them to see. You can easily browse your photo library and select the photo or video you want to appear on a secondary display connected via HDMI or AirPlay adapter. PhotoPresenter contains a set of tools to highlight parts of the photo, such as a spotlight effect or laser pointer, and allows the user to customize the appearance of the display if no particular photo is selected.

NDI® playback requires no cables

With the latest release, PhotoPresenter can also transmit the video signal via NDI® over the network to a live video production system with NDI® ingest capabilities, such as Boinx Software’s mimoLive. This makes it very easy to integrate an interactive photo slideshow tool into the live video production workflow without the need for wires. This leaves the presenter untethered to roam.
