In the month of the launch of Shogun Inferno, the new 4K60p HDR recorder, Atomos has added some new features that enhance its recording capabilities and expand HDR support.
Among the qualities of the recorder we can find QuadLink SDI and HDMI 2.0 for recording material in 4K 60p or HD at 240p; as well as recording in Raw and HDR Log and a 7-inch monitor with 1500nit.
These are the new features:
- ARRIRAW: 16:9 and 4:3 raw (.ari) formats can be captured on SSDs using the Master Caddy system as a more affordable option than SxS modules.
- Panasonic RAW: for the benefit of VariCam users, now in addition to the ProRes recording module, they will be able to capture raw externally to the Shogun Inferno in CDNG files.
- PQ and HLG playback; support for the two standard HDR curves, PQ (ST2084) and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma).
- PQ and HLG input; input of these curves from post-production systems or cameras is also supported.
- Scheduled broadcasting: in addition to instant playback and playlist generation, the ability to schedule broadcasts for live events or demonstrations has been added.
- HDR metadata support.
The Shogun Inferno recorder is launched this month for a price of about 1.995€.
