Shotgun Software, the developer of the VFX management and review tool Shotgun (acquired just over a year ago by Autodesk), has just announced its new Shotgun Panel.
This is a dashboard where users can view relevant information about their effects, either integrated within their own software or as a separate window. Here they can check activity, notes, tasks, publications or even review previous versions. In addition, the interface comes with caching to speed up all processes.
Shotgun Panel works within all Shotgun-compatible tools, such as Maya and Nuke, although it can be made to work separately, as a stand-alone window, with others such as Flame or Houdini.
Shotgun version 6.3 is scheduled for release later this fall, with new features such as the Client Review Site and an entry price of $30 per month.
