The Panasonic 3700 (AJ-HPX3700 is its full name) is a VariCam with P2 technology capable of recording at variable frame rates from 1 to 30p.
With its three 2/3″ CCD sensors it allows us to capture internally with a 4:2:2 10-bit sampling, or use its HD SDI output to take advantage of the RGB 4:4:4:4 10-bit. This output can be Full HD, at 24Psf or 23.98Psf, and carry the P-10Log gamma curve, thus extending the possibilities of the camera.
This camera emerged from the development of the legendary VariCam, which currently has its evolved model VariCam 35 4K. For this reason, and although it has become a little old, I do not want to pass up the opportunity to post some clips so you can count on them whenever you need them.
If you visit our 709 Downloads section, you will find a link with three clips recorded during some tests by Rafa Roche. They are in AVC-Intra 100 (the 3700 also records in AVC-Intra 50 and DVCPRO HD), at 25fps and 1920 x 1080 resolution.
