This week I have prepared a LUT called “Steel”. It is a very cold and desaturated look in which the red elements keep part of their color to stand out with the rest of the image and not dull the skins so much.
It is made on a logarithmic material, so it already has a contrast adjustment (although not too aggressive). I have also lowered the light level quite a bit, so if you apply it on planes that are already dark you will have to recover the black level and possibly raise the whole image.
I think it will work very well in dramatic scenes. I remind you that to download the file you have to visit the group “LUTs Exchange” in Red 709 (from this link you will access to the network).
