Blackmagic Camera Setup 2.1

A few days ago Blackmagic Design released a software update for the Cinema Camera, Pocket Cinema Camera and URSA, the Camera Setup 2.1 version.

Probably the most notable new feature is RAW recording with lossless compression for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera, but still here are the added changes:

Blackmagic Cinema Camera

• RAW recording with visible lossless compression.

• Adds support for more frame guide options.

• Press and hold the MENU button to skip the Dashboard and go directly to the configuration settings.

• The peaking status is remembered after switching off and on.

Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera

• Adds support for more frame guide options.

• Includes Chinese and Japanese languages for menus.

• Press and hold the MENU button to skip the Dashboard and go directly to the configuration settings.

• The peaking status is remembered after switching off and on.

Blackmagic URSA

• Media formatting performance has been improved.

The Production Camera 4K, Studio Camera 4K and Studio Camera models have not benefited from any changes.

You can download software version 2.1 via this link. It is recommended to run “Uninstall Camera Utility” first before installing the new software.
