Atomos helps unlock EVA1 Raw

With the recent EVA1 firmware release (Panasonic), Atomosannounces an update to its Shogun Inferno and Sumo19 products that allows the full potential of EVA1 to be realized. he newly announced Panasonic firmware update allows the EVA1 to produce 5.7K raw video through its 6G SDI port. It will be possible to record to reliable and affordable SSD media. This will greatly increase the flexibility and quality of the output from this new camera. The resulting resolution will be higher than true 4K.

The Atomos press release says that users will be able to discover the true potential of the camera and its low-noise sensor when combined with the Atomos Shogun Inferno HDR monitor/recorder, thanks to the free upgrade to Panasonic’s Raw output. The results take the camera to another level of performance, giving you images with maximum dynamic range.
