Thanks to the company Ceproma, (distributors of film, TV and video equipment) and especially to Juan Domínguez, the DIT course attendees were able to have access to a Canon C500, Canon 1D C and the Gemini 444 recorder.
In this DIT course, organized by 709 Media Room and Roche HD, students were able to see and work with these devices, comparing the functions and image quality of the two cameras.
The Canon 1D C is a new DSLR that, for the first time, outputs at 4K resolution. It is specifically designed for video and has an EF mount.
The Canon C500 offers a Super 35mm CMOS sensor, with the possibility of recording in 4K, 2K or HD. In addition, this model offers a choice of PL or EF mount.
Finally, the Gemini 4:4:4:4 is a professional, high-definition recorder from Convergent Design. Course attendees were able to test all its recording, monitoring and playback capabilities.
In addition, during the same day of the course, there was the Epic RED, so the comparison was even more detailed, examining the pros and cons of each of them depending on the type of production, and seeing the differences between the three resulting images.
From 709 Media Room we would like to thank Juan Domínguez for his usual good treatment and collaboration with our courses.
