Codex Digital has developed a new version of its The Vault station, which will be on display between May 31 and June 2 at Cine Gear 2013.
Since its introduction in 2012, Codex Vault was intended for media management environments, with functions for copying, archiving, notification and dailies creation, even allowing backups to LTO-5 tapes.
In this new version, Vault 2 is compatible with Sony F5 and F55 cameras and includes support for REDMAG (SSD) used with RED Epic and Scarlet cameras.
Other new features include the Codex Review Module, which allows playback of original camera media (including 4K footage) directly from Vault for review and quality control. There is also the new “Removable Storage Module”, which can be used as a substitute for internal storage, providing greater flexibility, or to quickly increase storage capacity; it has a capacity of 8TB.
Codex will also show in the coming days its recent module, developed together with ARRI, for internal recording of the Alexa camera. In this article you have more information about it.
