Course on promotional photography of cinematographic works with José Haro

User T38, a company specialized in first level postproduction, advertising and cinematographic posters, launches this interesting course within its training program “Aula User”. This workshop takes a look at the functions, inspiration, work techniques and objectives to be achieved by the photographer in an audiovisual production.

The role of the scene photographer today will be analyzed, valuing the importance of photography for the promotion of a feature film or audiovisual project and a work methodology will be proposed from the project approach to its final delivery. All this from the hand of one of the best Spanish photographers in this field: José Haro.

TEACHER: José Haro

Jose Haro has a long career as a photographer in film productions, both in national and international projects. He has worked, among others, for Pedro Almodóvar, Julian Schnabel or Alejandro González Iñárritu, taking promotional photographs for their films. He has received important international awards for his work, such as the Kodak Gold Award or the AGFA International Portrait Award.

He has developed personal projects in Palestine, Morocco, Cuba, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Independent Arab Republic of Western Sahara, Jordan, Scotland, Israel, China, Thailand and Spain. Currently the Eyevine agency distributes some of his work worldwide.

Freelance since his beginnings, he has published in El País Semanal, El Mundo Magazine, El Magazine of La Vanguardia, and in practically all national newspapers. He has been a member of the board of directors of the Association of European Graphic Journalists since 2006.
