Color correction programs are like hammers when hanging a picture: logically, you need to know how to use them, but what’s important is the precision and strength of the person using it. In this series of online masterclass look courses, we will delve into the real use of DaVinci Resolve to perform color correction and grading of complete sequences with professional quality. Top-level colorists will teach us their techniques and tricks to carry out color correction of fiction, documentary, and advertising sequences from start to finish… It will be like being in the room with them while they do real work.
In this course, senior colorist Jaime Climent — responsible for the color of more than 20 television series for platforms such as HBO and Netflix Original — will perform the grading of a full action sequence inspired by “The Darkest Night”, where a group of police officers arrests a criminal at night in a remote cabin.
He’ll walk you through project setup and media import, look creation based on visual references, and shot matching using various professional techniques.
A complete, hands-on color grading exercise led by an experienced professional colorist.

Colorists in DaVinci Resolve, editors, cinematographers, digital image technicians, producers, filmmakers, and all those who want to learn advanced techniques and tools to boost their color corrections to a higher level.
To take the course, it is necessary to have basic photographic knowledge, as well as basic knowledge of post-production, color, and DaVinci Resolve. The course does not cover color correction theory or its processes, nor the use of the DaVinci Resolve tool. This is a course specifically focused on practical color correction of real sequences.
All materials used in our courses are high-quality files, captured with professional market cameras. This sequence was shot using the Arri Alexa camera
