New Miller tripod with quick release system

Miller announces their new Solo-Q quick release system for tripods with swivel and tilt heads with standard 75mm and 100mm leveling ball sizes. This new version is an improvement on the existing Miller tripods they launched in 2003 and later in 2009. They are characterized by being lightweight, sturdy tripods without spacers, and now they add this new quick release system.

The new design allows control over the angle of the legs, which come with a safety lock for quick and easy adjustment without the need for an extender. Greater accuracy and consistency is achieved thanks to the height markings built into each leg. Now with the new design, the leg locks can be adjusted and tightened with just a quarter turn. The quick locking extension comes with 2 levels.

The new Q-Lock system offers a quick way to lock but also unlock the tripod, as with the Q-Lock button, the legs are automatically and uniformly released or locked. For this system to work, all leg locks must be loosened beforehand. First set the desired height with one of the legs by letting it drop and then tighten the rest of the quick-release locks.

Once shooting is finished and to pick up the tripod, simply loosen the latches, bring the legs together, and the hitch is automatic once it is in the transport position.

The tripod is made of carbon fiber and neoprene protection on the legs. Solo-Q tripods can be purchased through the brand’s official distributors.
