Quantel has launched its new SynthIA software, with an intuitive interface and a full range of tools for stereo plane manipulation.
SynthIA can be used as a stand-alone system or in conjunction with the Quantel Pablo and Pablo Rio color correction systems. It features sophisticated analysis and synthesis algorithms that produce high quality results.
To work with files it supports BMP, CIN, DPX, JPEG and TIF formats. Among its tools we find:
- Support for fullframe s3D display through a second monitor and separate interface.
- Analysis tools: luma/chroma maps, vectorscope, disparity maps and Z-view.
- Color match: to balance color differences between the left and right eye.
- Geofix: eliminates geometry differences between left and right eyes.
- Interaxial adjustment: changes the apparent interaxial distance of the camera.
- Z-warp: modifies the Z-composition of the plane and allows you to adjust the disparity differently at different image depths.
In this demo video you will be able to see each of the available tools:
According to Quantel, this new software can be “the difference between a useless blueprint and a happy customer”. SynthIA is available now and you can download the free trial here.
To be able to install it, it is required:
- Windows 7 64-bit operating system.
- i7 or Xeon (or better) processor.
- 8 GB RAM minimum.
- Quadro, Tesla or Kepler graphics cards with CUDA capabilities equal to or greater than 1.2 and at least 2GB of RAM.
- UI monitor with a resolution of at least 1920 x 1080.
- 3D display device (optional).
Here you have all the information about Quantel SynthIA. And if you are interested in stereoscopic 3D I recommend you to take a look at the course of ” SGO Mistika. Introduction and basics “and to the specific of “SGO Mistika. 3D Stereoscopy “Both will be held next June.
