Canon launches the new EOS C300 Mark IIIa more complete and powerful version of its predecessor, the C300 Mark II. Responding to the needs of the industry, Canon presents its new camera with Super 35mm 4K sensor. Designed for HDR work as well, it is launched with a new DGO (Dual Gain Output) sensor that gives it a dynamic range of 16 stops, perfect for HDR work.
It is the first camera from the brand to implement this sensor. Not only does it bring the possibility of higher dynamic range needed for HDR, it also brings greater sharpness and higher quality images even in low light conditions to make the HDR experience more powerful than ever. This is due to the behavior of the pixels. Each pixel has 2 levels of amplification, which combined result in the perfect mix between the highest and lowest values. Thus low detailscan be captured thanks to the higher amplification of the readout and for high areas the lower amplification of the readout is used to maintain detail in the areas with more light.
In addition to higher image quality with the DGO sensor, there is also support for the Dual Pixel CMOS AF autofocus system. Faster and more efficient for endless creative possibilities.
The EOS C300 Mark III has a modular design, like its predecessor, to suit every type of audiovisual production, including documentaries, commercials, series or corporate. The resolution at which it allows us to record is 4K in Cinema RAW Light or XF-AV at a frame rate of up to 120 fps.
Another great advantage of the Canon EOS C300 Mark III is the wide range of formats it can work with. Yet another reason to be an audiovisual all-rounder. Recording in 4k Cinema RAW Light is already an advantage for working with large files without slowing down the workflow. Large but lighter files avoid cost overruns in production. In addition to internal RAW recording, it supports Canon XF-AVC formats at 4K (UHD 4:2:2) as well as 2K and Full HD. The recording configuration possibilities are further expanded in those cases where RAW recording is not possible.
For camera customization you can vary the mount type between EF, PL and EF Cinema Lock. You can also make use of the EU-V1 and EU-V2 systems to configure the camera body according to your production.
