Cinemartin is the developer of Cinec encoding and conversion software, which allows ProRes and H265 files to be exported from a Windows operating system. Now they are happy to announce the release of PLIN, a plug-in that brings this capability directly to editing systems.
At the moment it is only compatible with Adobe Premiere (CS 5.5, CS 6.0 and CC versions), although it is expected to be available for Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve and Sony Vegas at a later date.
Once installed, we will be able to export our sequences to any codec of the ProRes family or to HEVC H.265. In Premiere, simply follow the steps below:
File Menu → Export → Cinemartin Cinec Plin
This will open the plugin with its output codec selection options (where we can choose one or more), frame rate, aspect ratio and resolution (supports up to 4K).
Cinemartin PLIN is available as a standalone plugin, as an add-on to Cinec software or as part of the Cinec 3.X video conversion package (more details here). Like the latter, it has a multi-CPU processing core that can reach up to 6 cores in the Gold version.
It is available in three versions, the Standard (for 49€ but for a limited time), the Pro (149€) and the Gold (399€). Here you can compare them and purchase any of them.
I also leave you the link to download the demo (35 days and limited to 10 seconds per file). This trial version corresponds to the Standard version, which does not include H.265 or ProRes 4444 encoding, supports up to 1080p and 30fps and does not support anamorphic formats.
