Beyond simple process optimization, today’s market demands profiles capable of expanding their skills through Artificial Intelligence, enabling them to take control and redesign and customize their own work tools. Vibecoding evolves at this stage: we no longer just automate the interface to gain speed—we learn to design our own image-processing tools and connect DaVinci Resolve to the outside world.

In our Online Course on AI Vibecoding for Post: DCTL and Dubbing, you’ll first discover how to use LLMs as an engineering interface to create your own image-processing tools using DCTLs. You’ll learn to translate creative concepts into mathematical code to generate creative looks and to develop technical tools for quality control on your timelines. We’ll also dive into the syntax needed to create custom IDTs within ACES workflows, giving you full control over color management from ingest.

The second half of the program focuses on expanding DaVinci Resolve’s capabilities by connecting to external APIs. You’ll learn to securely manage credentials and libraries to integrate the intelligence of OpenAI and platforms like ElevenLabs, where you’ll develop scripts for synthetic voice generation and automatic dubbing conform in the timeline, bringing cutting-edge services together in a single automated workflow.

This training is designed for professionals who are already familiar with Vibecoding logic and want to make the leap into building their own tools. You don’t need to be an advanced developer or an image-math expert, but we do recommend taking our Online Course: AI Vibecoding for Post-Production first.

Module 1: DCTL

Introduction to DCTLs: what they are, how they differ from a Python script, and when to use them.
Your first creative DCTL: how to talk about color with an LLM, an AI-generated Teal and Orange grade, installation and tweaking in Resolve.
Technical DCTLs: DCTL Blanking Checker as a diagnostic tool. DCTLs as IDTs in ACES workflows: specific syntax and installation in the correct folder.

Module 2: Connecting to the outside world

External APIs: prerequisites. What a REST API is, API keys, required libraries, and secure credential management.
Connecting to OpenAI from Resolve: script to automate audio extraction, transcription, and translation.
Connecting to ElevenLabs: script to automate voice generation, automatic conform, and rendering.
Farewell: other AI possibilities and resources to keep learning.

Objectives

Implement the development of custom DCTLs with AI, understanding DaVinci Resolve’s color transform language syntax to create creative looks and technical utilities.
Master technical management in ACES workflows, using Vibecoding to generate IDTs specific to your footage.
